Our read on it
Not a toy, but it belongs in a toy list for a good reason: children's toys eat C and D batteries faster than anything else in the house, and an activity mat alone can go through a set every couple of months. Rechargeables pay for themselves after three or four cycles, and USB-C charging means the same cable as your phone with no special charger.
Pros
- Pays for itself after three or four charge cycles
- Charges over USB-C, the same cable as a phone
- High 4900mAh capacity
- Cuts battery waste
Cons
- A high upfront price for two batteries
- Some toys do not run well on rechargeable lithium cells
Important safety information
Keep all batteries completely out of children's reach. Swallowing a battery is an emergency, and a button cell specifically causes serious internal burns within two hours and requires immediate emergency care. Check the battery compartment on every toy is screw-closed. Do not mix new with old cells, and remove them from any toy that will sit unused for a long time.
