Our read on it
Nearly the same area as the 52-piece mat for less money, but in six large pieces rather than fifty-two small ones. That means far fewer seams, so less trapped crumb and faster cleaning, and a child less able to pull it apart. The print is also visually quieter than bright colours, which matters if the mat lives in a living room rather than a playroom.
Pros
- Six large pieces, fewer seams and faster cleaning
- Harder for a child to pull apart than small pieces
- 12 mm thick
- A quiet print that suits a living room, not only a playroom
Cons
- Large pieces are less flexible around awkward corners
- Only six, so limited scope to extend the shape
Important safety information
Inspect the separate edge strips regularly and replace anything crumbling, since chewed foam becomes small pieces. Air a new mat before use. Not a sleep surface.
