Our read on it
The whole idea is which way the books face: a child who cannot read yet picks by the picture, not the title, and a normal shelf shows spines so everything disappears. Front-facing display lets them choose for themselves, and it makes a noticeable difference to how often a book gets picked up. Seven tiers for ninety riyals is very fair for a wooden piece.
Pros
- Front-facing display lets a child choose by the picture
- Seven tiers with good capacity
- Natural wood rather than plastic
- Very fair price for a piece of furniture
Cons
- Front-facing holds fewer books than a normal shelf of the same size
- Needs assembling on arrival
Important safety information
Any tall piece in a child's room must be anchored to the wall, since a loaded rack tips onto whoever climbs it. Check the screws after assembly and periodically after. Keep heavier books on the lower tiers.
