Our read on it
A foam floor does something a fabric mat does not: it wipes clean in ten seconds. With a child eating on the floor and spilling, that difference compounds daily. Small 40 by 35 cm pieces mean flexible shapes and awkward corners covered, but they also mean many seams where crumbs collect. Compare it with the six large-piece mat on this list.
Pros
- Wipes clean instead of needing a wash
- 52 pieces shape to the room and cover awkward corners
- Assembles to 130 by 160 cm
- Non-toxic, water-resistant EVA foam
- Best value per square metre here
Cons
- Many seams where crumbs collect and are awkward to clean
- An older child pulls the small pieces apart
Important safety information
Small pieces and separate edge strips can be chewed and pulled off, so inspect regularly and replace anything that starts to crumble. Air a new mat before use until the manufacturing smell has gone. Not a sleep surface.
