Our read on it
The gap against the wide version is fifty-six halalas, so the real difference is the neck, not the price. A standard neck is slimmer, so an older baby grips it more easily and it fits cup holders. But a wide neck is easier to clean and its teat is closer to the shape of the breast. At half a riyal apart, choose on those grounds rather than price. And if you also breastfeed, the wide one suits better.
Pros
- The slimmer neck is easier for an older baby to hold
- Fits cup holders and pushchair pockets
- 270ml serves until weaning
Cons
- A narrow neck is harder to clean and collects milk fat
- Its teat is further from the shape of the breast than the wide version
- A less familiar brand locally
Important safety information
Wash and sterilise before first use and after each feed, paying attention to the narrow neck, which is where fat builds up beyond the brush's easy reach. Pull-test the teat and replace it at the first tear or widening, since a torn teat is a choking hazard. Discard leftovers an hour after the feed began. Never leave a bottle in a sleeping baby's mouth. Never microwave the milk.
