Our read on it
Most pools require a swim diaper, and a reusable one saves against buying a box every season. One adjustable snap size covers newborn to two years, which is three seasons. Something many people do not know: a swim diaper holds no liquid at all and is not meant to, its only job is containing solids.
Pros
- Washed and reused, cheaper over time than boxes
- One snap-adjustable size covers newborn to two years
- No seasonal waste
Cons
- High upfront price for a single item
- Needs washing immediately after every use
- You need more than one for a single day
Important safety information
A swim diaper contains solids only and holds no liquid; that is the intended design. Change it immediately after any bowel movement and take the child out of the water. Check the fit around the legs before going in. It has nothing to do with buoyancy and is not a water safety device.
